InCollaboration Incorporated,
also known as the Readers Theatre Workshop,
is a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation founded in 1983 as a purely performing arts organization, featuring original and adaptive drama and musical and comedic theater pieces. Over the years, the company has evolved and has expanded the scope of its activities to integrate technology and the arts as a means to improve lireracy, encourage critical thinking, and develop the career skills of our young people, especially  those with physical challenges or learning disabilities and those living in socially or economically disadvantaged neighborhoods or attending underperforming schools.

We also seek to help our newly or recently arrived students, for whom English is still a second language, providing schools with bi-lingual programs and artists, and featuring programs that focus on tolerance and diversity, not on differences, but on the culturally and ethnically distinct music, and dance, theatre, and art, and customs and crafts that make life so much more interesting and so challenging for all of us.

Using a pedagogically tested and proven methodology known as Project-Based Learning (PBL) our educational programs are conducted primarily in schools, while our performing arts programs continue to be presented in theatres, libraries, neighborhood centers, museums, parks, corporate assembly areas and other suitable public spaces.

You will find a wealth of information about our various teaching and learning programs, our performing arts programs, our theatre and film  productions, and the very dedicated, charming and professional individuals that populate them, by browsing the related links at the left of this page.
